We still have a few events coming up though, including but not limited to:
This time of year we also get a lot of questions about joining mid-year. Here's an example scenario of how the process works: Helen Homeschooler just moved to town with her husband and 3 kids. A nice lady at the park noticed she was a homeschooler and gave her information about PCHE. She visits the website and heads to the Membership page. She's really excited to get connected as soon as possible, so she clicks on the link for the Registration Form, fills it out right away, and then comes back to the website to pay her dues. Since it's already April, she can tell that she'll only need to pay $20 for her family. She follows the link to the Shop, clicks on Memberships, then clicks on "PCHE Family Membership". There are 5 options to choose from, so she selects "March-May" and adds one to her cart. She checks out and uses her debit card to pay online. The next day she gets an email from PCHE with information about joining the private FB page, the HSLDA group discount number, and the most recent Member Directory. She will continue getting email updates about upcoming events until the beginning of the next school year. Helen loves PCHE so much that she re-registers at the Kick-Off at the beginning of September and only pays the $35 Early Bird rate for the entire next school year. And Helen Homeschooler and her family live happily ever after. :) 1/11/2022 0 Comments Winter EventsThe new semester has begun and we've got lots of fun stuff coming up for our students (and moms!). Park days have moved from Tuesdays to Fridays after classes, weather permitting. We had school pictures taken by one of our very own members and she did an awesome job!

The board will make a decision by 3pm tomorrow about whether it is still on or not. If you'd like to receive an email update, please contact [email protected] and we will let you know when the decision is made.
If we have to cancel, we will schedule another day for a BBQ later in the fall so that people can plan for it. 9/2/2021 0 Comments Classes FAQWe get a lot of questions about classes! Here are answers to some of the most common:
Q: What are the class offerings this semester? A: We don't have the class schedule or sign-up quite ready yet. As a co-op, every single class is parent-taught. We are still waiting for a couple more people to volunteer so we will have enough teachers to run classes. We specifically need 1-2 more preschool classes. To volunteer, go here or drop us an email! Q: When do classes start this fall? A: As long as enough members volunteer, classes will run Friday mornings, Oct 1-Nov 19th. Q: Wait, I thought I already paid my membership fee? Why do I need to pay for classes too? A: There is a separate fee for classes, apart from the annual membership fee for PCHE. This helps us cover group insurance, building fees, and supplies. Q: But I thought co-op classes were all PCHE did? What else do you have going on? A: Lots! Holiday parties/gatherings, field trips, Mom-to-Mom events, Historical Character Party, Presentation Night, Project Fair, Science Fair, bowling, Teen Banquet, Graduation, and park days are some of the events we've coordinated in the past. Also remember that PCHE is a member-run, co-operative group. If there is an event you want to see happen, we'll do our best to help you organize it! |
